Overexpression of PPARγ significantly increases transcriptional response to rosiglitazone. Cos-7 cells were transfected with reporter plasmids (PPRE-luciferase reporter, CMV-GFP reporter) and empty pcDNA 3.1 or a mouse Pparg2 expression vector. Cells then were treated with Vh (0.5% DMSO) or rosiglitazone (as indicated). Luminescence and fluorescence were measured after 24 h. Data are reported as mean ± standard error (N = 7 independent transfections).
