The map shows the geographical locations where the study was conducted. The reference group (RG ●) consisted of workers from urban areas of the cities of Coquimbo and La Serena, and from the rural non-agricultural town of La Higuera. The environmentally- and occupationally-exposed groups (EE and OE ▲) consisted of non-agricultural workers and agricultural workers, respectively; all of them residing in rural areas with intense agricultural activity (Vicuña, Paihuano, Monte Patria).
